Everything You Should Know About Your Candles

SAFETY FIRST!

The most important thing to remember is never to leave your candle burning unattended or lit while sleeping. Candle vessels can get pretty hot, so be careful if you are handling while lit or right after extinguishing. Remember to keep your candle away from the drapes or other flammable items, on heat-resistant surfaces, and away from children and pets.

TRIM YOUR WICK

It is best to trim your wick to about 1/4" before each use. Trimming your wick makes a tremendous difference in the longevity of your candle. A long wick burns too hot and will burn the candle quickly. Lastly, trimming allows your candle to burn evenly, so you get a better scent throw! We recommend using a wick trimmer from our website or a sharp pair of scissors but be careful because you don't want to cut the wick unevenly.

ALLOW IT TO MELT

It is crucial the first time you burn your candle to burn it long enough for the melted wax to reach the border of your vessel. This prevents the wax from tunneling during future use. Do not burn your candle for longer than 4 hours at a time and allow the wax to cool completely before reigniting.

SNUFF IT OUT

I would hate to insult you because I consider us friends, but I worry you may not know how to properly extinguish your candles. Don't fret, we've got you covered! A snuffer is the safest way to extinguish your candle. It will eliminate smoke and it will help keep the wax from splashing. We have Matte black, Gold, Rose gold and silver available for purchase on our website.
